Drones are giving you and me access to a 3rd dimension. A domain that used to be reserved only for airplanes, satellites and astronauts.
The applications in this domain are endless. They can be as big as a cargo plane or as small as an insect. Unmanned aircraft systems are changing the way we inspect infrastructure, monitor crop health, manage crowds and deliver disaster relief. Fixed and mobile ground sensors are rapidly replaced by this new technology.
What impact will this have on our current IoT infrastructure? How will drones communicate and work together with other machines? When will drones be virtualized? When will we see (and accept) full autonomy?
Lucas' fascination for machines started when he wrote his first program on a Commodore 64 at the age of 11. In high school he took it to the next level when the computer modem was introduced. As a computer hacker he tested vulnerabilities in early computer networks. During his time at University Lucas started his first company PC James. It provided IT services by hiring out students to people and businesses. After PC James he worked in product development, datacentre security, social media and crowd funding.
In the fast moving information society emerging technology has been the drive for Lucas' passion. This has been no different with Aerialtronics. As CEO from 2012 and CTO from 2014 Lucas and his team keep pushing the boundaries every day to define the future of unmanned aircraft systems.
